The catalanist people say that all "international romanistica"
says that the Valencian language is a dialect of the Catalan. Is
it true ?
It is completely false. The "international romanistica"
(an entity formed by experts in Latin languages) is an abstract
concept that does not have a real existence. A concrete entity,
with unified criteria, named "international romanistica"
does not exist and therefore a universal unquestionable opinion
which supports the pretensions of those who want to do to the Valencian
language a simple dialect of the Catalan one cannot exist.

The catalanist people say that according to the "scientific"
criteria the Valencian language is a dialect of the Catalan language.
Is it true ?
It is completely false. The "social sciences", as
the language, are academic disciplines that in no case have the
precision and accuracy which could display the "exact sciences",
as the mathematics or the physics.
Currently, there are multiple linguistic criteria (all of
them rigorously scientists), inside of academic world to define
and to differentiate between what is language and what is dialect.
In such a way that the same linguistic case might give different
and opposite answers depending on the perspective and the linguistic
used criteria.
According to the parameters and scientific criteria of the
academic discipline of the socio-linguistic the Valencian language
is a completely independent and differentiated language of the Catalan
language.

The catalanist people say
that "all the universities of the world" say that
the Valencian language is a dialect of the Catalan language. Is
it true ?
It is not true. Some universities of the world have departments
of Catalan philology in the same way as they have other departments
to teach other languages. In no case this educational circumstance
can be manipulated and presented as a proof that the Valencian language
is a dialect of the Catalan language or that they are the same idiom.
The only conclusion that can be obtained in this case is that the
catalanist institutions have worked a lot to introduce the Catalan
language in some non-catalan universities.
The Valencian language might have perfectly in the universities
its own and particular department of Valencian philology, different
of that of Catalan philology, if it was not for the strong political
component that always have characterized the catalanist actions
of a part of the teachers of the universities of Valencia and Catalonia,
which have as prior aim make believe (and to spread it to other
foreign universities) that the Valencian language is only a dialect
of the Catalan language.

Why are some teachers of the universities of Valencia and Catalonia
pawned in making believe that the Valencian language is only a dialect
of the Catalan language ?
The fundamental reason is that the centers of decision and
performance of the universities (and other political and cultural
areas also) are managed since many years ago by catalanist people.
It obeys to a campaign perfectly organized and economically supported
since many years ago by catalanist institutions and catalanist politicians.
Catalanist ones try to substitute the Valencian language for the
Catalan language and to install in the mind of the valencian people
the false idea that the valencian people speak Catalan language,
that they belong to "catalan nation" and that they
belong to the (fictitious) "Països catalans" ("catalan
countries"). All to obtain bigger political and economic
power and to claim with more force the political independence of
Catalonia.
This catalan imperialist project is promoting the presence
of the Catalan language in foreign universities and other institutions
abroad of Catalonia, at the same time that they are presenting to
the Valencian language as a dialect of the Catalan language and
not as the independent and differentiated language that really it
is.

What validity has the new definition of "Valencian (language)"
that appears nowadays in the dictionary of the "Royal Spanish
Academy" (R.A.E.) ?
Nowadays the dictionary of the R.A.E. defines the "Valencian
(language)" as: "Variety of the Catalan language used
largely of the former Kingdom of Valencia and felt there commonly
as proper language". This definition is not better than
another definition that the same dictionary was offering a few years
ago. In that definition the "Valencian language" was defined
as the "Language spoken in most of the former Kingdom of
Valencia". A definition that was granting a correct character
of language to the Valencian language with no reference to the Catalan
one.
In any case, the R.A.E. only is qualified to resolve in matters
relating to the Castilian language, but in no case it has authority
to do it on the Valencian language.
Besides, it is more than proved that the change of the definition
of "Valencian language" in the dictionary of the R.A.E.
was done by pressures of catalan/catalanist members of this institution
in a totally arbitrary and irregular way, since the above mentioned
change was realized without the
agreement of any assembly and without to be registered in the diary
of the "Royal Spanish Academy" (R.A.E.).
It is important not to forget that one of the basic aims of
the Catalanist ones consists in their introducing inside of the
most important cultural and educational institutions (nacional and
international ones) to be imposing little by little their catalanist
theses and in this way to favor the absorption of the language and
Valencian culture inside of the fictitious and artful project of
the "Països catalans" ("catalan countries).
